Doctrinal Statement

We believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the Word of God and that it is the sole standard for our faith and practice.  Furthermore we observe the King James Bible as the preserved Word of God for english speaking people. -    (II Timothy 3:16)

We believe there is only one true and living God. - (I Corinthians 8:6)

We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead.  Three persons; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection but perform distinct offices in the work of redemption. - (Acts 5:30-32)

We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine administrator of Jesus Christ in His churches. - (Luke 24:49; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:4, 5, 8; Acts 2:1-4)

We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the lake of fire. - (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:11-19; Matt. 25:41; II Cor. 4:4; Eph. 6:10-17; Rev. 20:10)

We believe in the Genesis account of Creation.  God created the heavens, the earth, and mankind.  Man was created in the image of God and God breathed into man a living soul. - (Genesis 1, 2)

We believe in the original sin and fall of man.  Man was created in innocency but by voluntary transgression of God's law, he caused all men to be born in sin and under the just condemnation of God. - (Romans 5:12)

We believe in the virgin birth of Christ.  Christ was conceived miraculously by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  He is both the Son of God and God the Son. - (Matthew 1:18)

We believe in the sacrificial death by crucifixon, the burial, and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God.  Furthermore we believe that Christ sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. - (John19 -20; Hebrews 12:2)

We believe in salvation through faith in the shed blood of Christ.  Salvation is an act of grace that brings about a new birth in Christ.  The new birth is an instantaneous act brought about by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. - (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8, 9)

We believe in the eternal security of the believer.  One who comes to know Jesus Christ as saviour can not lose their salvation. - (John 10:28, 29)

We believe the local church is an organized, self-governing body of immersed believers. - (Acts 2:41, 42)

We believe that the ordinances of the local church are baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper.  Christian baptism by immersion identifies the believer with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.  The Lord's Supper is the commemoration of Christ's death until He returns. - (Matthew 28:19, 20;  I Corinthians 11:26)

We believe in the pretribulation rapture of the church, the premillennial return of Christ, and the millennial reign of Christ. - (I Corinthians 15:42-58, I Thess. 4:13-18; Matthew 24:29-31; Revelation 20:1-4)

We believe in the eternal glory in Heaven for the righteous and the eternal torment in Hell for the wicked. Only those that are saved are truly righteous in God's sight and will have everlasting life with Him. Those who continue in unbelief and refuse the gift of God in Christ Jesus are under the curse and face everlasting conscious suffering in the lake of fire.- (John 3:16, 17; Luke 16:25, Revelation 20:15)
