Hollingsworth Campmeeting Mountain View Baptist Church with other area churches sponsor a campmeeting the first Monday through Friday in October of each year.  This years meeting was held on October 1-5.  It was a great success.  God blessed amazingly in this meeting!  Next years campmeeting will be held on October 6-10, 2008.  The campmeeting has been held in a renovated chicken house.  We are looking to the future for a piece of property to hold the annual meeting. This years meeting was blessed to have great preaching all week.  Preachers included Bro.'s James Harvey, Shane Jenkins, Albert Hudson, and Mark Stroud from the local area; as well as Dr. Wayne Owenby of Seirville, TN., Bro. Zane Fishel of Mount Airy, NC, Bro. Larry Sprouse of Weaverville, NC, Bro. Harry Nix of Murphy, NC, and Bro. Tommy Holder of King, NC.  On Thursday and Friday of this years meeting we also held morning services and called preachers from the floor. We also had The Marksmen Quartet from Dahlonega, GA back with us again this year as well as singers from our local churches. Many of the local churches attend and bring their choirs with them.  We form a Campmeeting Choir each night for some great singing!
